School Programme

Burnley Basketball Club in association with Pendle and Burnley School Sport Partnership and Sport England has been providing basketball into schools programme. Through the programme, Burnley Basketball Club provides after and in-school to children from both primary and secondary school.

We are following the directives from the Lancashire Physical Eucation Scheme of Work, including principles from Invasion Games, Wall games and Atlethic. We can provide plans of the sessions for each school year for primary schools and for each age group for secondary school.

The focus of these sessions is on providing quality sporting experiences that will help develop sportsmanship, physical literacy and social skills amongst participants.

As well as coaching sessions, Burnley Basketball Club can also provide taster sessions, assemblies and coaching courses upon request.

We also are very keen to help coaching school teams participating in any competition in order to maximise your coaching time and basketball knowledge.
