School Programme

Burnley Basketball Club in association with Pendle and Burnley School Sport Partnership adn Sport England provide a basketball into schools programme. Through the programme, Burnley Basketball Club provides after and in-school to children from both primary and secondary school.
 
The focus of these sessions is on providing quality sporting experiences that will help develop sportsmanship, physical literacy and social skills amongst participants.
 
 

As well as coaching sessions, Burnley Basketball Club can also provide taster sessions, assemblies and coaching courses upon request.

Primary Schools' Festival

To promote basketball as a new sport within primary schools, Burnley Basketball Club and the School Sport Partnership are setting up a Primary Festival, where all the schools within the Burnley and Pendle area's are invited to bring representatives of their school along, the children will take part in some skill based activities and some game activities. The festival dates are as follows:
 
12th November - Pendle Vale College- Pendle- 2:30pm-4:30pm
19th November - Park High School - Pendle 2:30pm-4:30pm
27th January - Venue tba - Burnley - 1:00pm-4:00pm
 
All Schools must contact Peter Stewart before entering.
